What is the Apple App Store?

The Apple App Store is Apple’s official marketplace for apps on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. It operates in 175 countries and regions, and as of today it lists about 2.46 million apps from more than 1 million publishers.

Search is how most users find new apps, so where an app ranks for a keyword directly affects its downloads. Apple doesn’t offer a public API for search results, so using the Apple App Store API, we can determine where each app ranks and how many downloads it gets.

In this code, I am making a GET request to /apple/app_store endpoint using requests. Along with the GET request, I am passing few parameters too.

api_key is your personal API key.
term is the search term.
country is the origin country.
langis the language of the response.
num is the number of results.
device can be either mobile or desktop.
