Scrapingdog Weekly Changelog: Oct5-11, 2026

This week's release adds two new image search APIs and fixes three data quality issues across our Amazon and Company Profile APIs. If you rely on any of these endpoints, here is what changed and what it means for your integration.

Yahoo Images and Bing Images APIs Now Live

The Yahoo Images API and the Bing Images API are now available in the dashboard. You can start using both today to add image search to your applications, and you can compare results across the two search engines if your use case benefits from more than one source.

Both APIs have also been added to our documentation. The docs cover what each API supports and how to get started, so you can go from reading to making your first request without much setup.

Amazon Search API: Available Quantity Now Returned Correctly

The Amazon Search API was sometimes returning a null available quantity even when the data was present in the response's availability property. The cause was in how the response was parsed. We have updated the parsing logic, and the API now returns the available product quantity as expected.

If you added workarounds to handle null quantities, such as falling back to another field or skipping affected products, you can review and remove them. Products that previously came back with a null quantity should now return a value wherever the source data includes one.

Amazon Product API: Customer Reviews Snippet Sanitized

The Amazon Product API was returning garbage data in the customer reviews snippet. The snippet is now sanitized, so the output is clean, consistent, and reliable.

This matters most if you display review snippets to end users or feed them into text analysis. You should no longer need to filter out malformed characters or broken strings before using the field.

Company Profile API: Followers Count Restored

The Company Profile API had started returning a null followers count. The source data changed in structure, and our parser no longer matched it. We have updated the response parsing to handle the new structure, and the followers count is being returned correctly again.

If your dashboards or reports showed gaps in follower data this week, new requests will now return the value. Previously collected null values will not be backfilled automatically, so you may want to re-run requests for the companies you track.
